Driving Directions
Located a mile high in the Ochoco mountains about 35 miles northeast of Prinville Oregon. Following highway 26 towards Mitchell, Or., there is a forest road 27 [2730] to the left just before you reach the Ochoco Summit. Follow 2730 till you get to the 200 road left, you will also see a sign halfway there indicating direction to the luckystrike mine on the 2730 road. Once you reach the 200 road it is only 2 miles to the luckystrke. Weather permitting the mines will be open mid May through mid November open daily 8am till 5pm.
